Secure Distributed Constraint Satisfaction: Reaching Agreement without Revealing Private Information

چکیده
This paper develops a secure distributed Constraint Satisfaction algorithm. A Distributed Constraint Satisfaction Problem (DisCSP) is a CSP in which variables and constraints are distributed among multiple agents. A major motivation for solving a DisCSP without gathering all information in one server is the concern about privacy/security. However, existing DisCSP algorithms leak some information during the search process and privacy/security issues are not dealt with formally. Our newly developed algorithm utilizes a public key encryption scheme. In this algorithm, multiple servers, which receive encrypted information from agents, cooperatively perform a search process that is equivalent to a standard chronological backtracking. This algorithm does not leak any private information, i.e., neither agents nor servers can obtain any additional information on the value assignment of variables that belong

Provably secure and efficient identity-based key agreement protocol for independent PKGs using ECC
Key agreement protocols are essential for secure communications in open and distributed environments. Recently, identity-based key agreement protocols have been increasingly researched because of the simplicity of public key management. The basic idea behind an identity-based cryptosystem is that a public key is the identity (an arbitrary string) of a user, and the corresponding private key is ...
متن کاملDistributed Constraint Problems for Utilitarian Agents with Privacy Concerns, Recast as POMDPs
Privacy has traditionally been a major motivation for distributed problem solving. Distributed Constraint Satisfaction Problem (DisCSP) as well as Distributed Constraint Optimization Problem (DCOP) are fundamental models used to solve various families of distributed problems. Even though several approaches have been proposed to quantify and preserve privacy in such problems, none of them is exe...
متن کاملA Distributed Asynchronous Solver for Nash Equilibria in Hypergraphical Games
Hypergraphical games provides a compact model of a network of self-interested agents, each involved in simultaneous subgames with its neighbors. The overall aim is for the agents in the network to reach a Nash Equilibrium, in which no agent has an incentive to change their response, but without revealing all their private information. Asymmetric Distributed constraint satisfaction (ADisCSP) has...
متن کاملPrivacité dans les DisCSP pour agents utilitaires
Privacy has traditionally been a major motivation for distributed problem solving, and particularly for Distributed CSP (DisCSP). However, even though several metrics have been proposed to quantify it, none of them is widely used. In this paper, we approach the problem by assuming that computation is performed among utility-based agents. In this context, we introduce a DisCSP model based on the...
متن کاملCoordinating Logistics Operations with Privacy Guarantees
Several logistics service providers serve a certain number of customers, geographically spread over an area of operations. They would like to coordinate their operations so as to minimize overall cost. At the same time, they would like to keep information about their costs, constraints and preferences private, thus precluding conventional negotiation. We show how AI techniques, in particular Di...
